2015 Franco-ontarian celebrations

Our francophone community celebrates September 25th to commemorate Franco-Ontarian Day. This year our clinic attended City Hall for the raising of the Franco-Ontarian flag as well as the “Gala de la francophonie” held at the Place Concorde on September 26th, 2015.

Franco-Ontarian Day 2014

An assembly of members of the francophone community gathered with pride and spirit at City Hall on September 25th 2014 to celebrate Franco-Ontarian Day. Several schools participated along with many French organizations. Among the events were speeches by local francophone leaders and the mayor of Windsor, Eddie Francis. Speeches opened the celebration, followed by the raising of the flag, and the “grand finale’ flash mob. What incredible spirit!

Every year, Community Legal Clinics hold regional trainings at a conference in London, Ontario for colleagues in the Southwest region. It is a great opportunity for networking, learning, and socializing with colleagues from other clinics.

At the request of ACFO London-Sarnia and the Lambton County Library in Sarnia, a successful workshop was prepared and presented in joint collaboration by the community legal clinics in Sarnia and in Windsor in both English and in French.
